It wasn't the greatest year for ULL in 2016; but it was a step up from missing a bowl game in 2015, and helped to put a list of vacated wins behind the team.

Looking ahead to 2017, the Cajuns will have to move on from Anthony Jennings at quarterback, and coach Mark Hudspeth took the first step in that process this weekend. After evaluating all 4 quarterbacks on the roster through the spring game, he's landed on a quarterback to build the season around. Here's more on the move from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"UL-Lafayette head coach Mark Hudspeth has named Jordan Davis his starting quarterback as the Ragin Cajuns have completed spring football. Davis was 11-of-14 for 174 yards and a touchdown in the Red-White Spring Game. Hudspeth says Davis looked sharp in the spring and has a great grasp of the offense.
The Cajuns will begin the 2017 season by hosting Southeastern Louisiana."
