Two Men Charged with Sex Crimes Involving Juveniles

Two local men have been arrested in separate cases for having illegal sexual conduct with juveniles.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator says 50-year-old Odis Simmons of Shreveport is accused of molesting two children under age 13 in November 2015 in Bethany.

Simmons was arrested at his Lillian Street home after an investigation by Sheriff's Detective Jared Marshall. Simmons was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for first-degree rape and sexual battery.

In an unrelated case, 50-year-old Timothy Miller of Shreveport was arrested for having sexual contact with a juvenile under age 13. The offense is reported to have taken place between 2009 and 2011.

Miller was taken into custody during a traffic stop conducted by Detective Trey Keene and Patrol Cpl. Robert Greer. Miller is charged with molesting a juvenile.
