Two Shreveport Men Arrested in Queensborough Shooting
On August 8, 2022, just before 1:00 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 2500 block of Stonewall Avenue on reports of a shooting. Police, then located a female suffering from at least one gunshot to her neck. The Shreveport Fire Department transported her to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital where we learned that her injuries were not life threatening and she was expected to make a full recovery.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene and launched their investigations. Detectives canvassed the neighborhood and spoke with witnesses and all evidence was collected. In the days following, investigators were able to identify who they believed responsible for the crimes. Warrants were procured for Marvin Savannah 4-2-1970 and Damion Wilson 3-10-1978. Savanah was charged with one (1) count of Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery, one (1) count of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one (1) count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. Wilson was charged with one (1) count of Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery, one (1) count of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one (1) count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.
Savannah was already housed at the Caddo Correctional Center and Wilson was taken into custody without incident at 2817 West College on August 18, 2022, by Violent Crimes Investigators, the V-CAT Unit and members of the City Marshall’s Warrants Division. He was transported to the Shreveport Police Complex for questioning, then booked into the Shreveport City Jail on his charges.
