A morning wreck sends three young people to the hospital. Shreveport firefighters were called out just before 8:45 to the intersection of Bert Kouns and Dean Road, where there was a reported head-on collision with one vehicle overturned. They found a tan F-250 occupied by an adult female and two small children and a badly-mangled black Toyota Tundra overturned with one person trapped inside. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to get the 18-year-old male out. He was taken to LSU Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. Two juveniles from the pickup truck were taken to Willis Knighton South with minor injuries. Shreveport police are investigating the accident.
