A woman accused of robbing a west Shreveport restaurant earlier this week is behind bars.

Investigators arrested 40-year-old Jacqueline Haynes without incident yesterday afternoon as she was leaving a home in the 100 block of East Jordan in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.

Authorities developed Haynes as a suspect in the robbery of Cheng's Restaurant based on information gathered during their ongoing inquiry into that crime.  Detectives believe Harris entered Cheng's just before 7:00 p.m. on June 4th, 2012 and accosted an employee there, demanding money. According to witness statements, Haynes acted as if she was armed with a gun and made off with an undisclosed amount of money she snatched out of a cash register there.
Haynes, of Mangham, Louisiana, is also accused of robbing a Waffle House in West Monroe. She's been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple robbery and as a fugitive from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office.
