Shreveport Shooting Leaves Man Dead
Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in west Shreveport overnight.
Just after 1:30am Shreveport officers were called to the 3100 block of West Caperton Street relative to a shots fired call. As officers arrived at the location, it was learned an adult male victim was suffering what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the head. The man, whose name has not been released, was transported from the scene via ambulance to University Health Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Based on preliminary information, authorities learned residents reported hearing several gunshots fired, prior to seeing the victim on the ground. There were no immediate descriptions available of potential suspects; however, investigators are working to gather additional information and evidence in relation to this matter.
