Shreveport Police Searching For Two Suspects In Beating
On August 8, 2020, just before 1:00 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded the 2900 block of Regent Street on reports of a man who had been the victim of battery. Arriving officers located the male victim who had suffered serious injuries to his legs and upper body. The victim of the beating disclosed that he was lured to a house in the block believing that he was meeting someone for a date. Once the man arrived on scene he was severely beaten.
Detectives with Shreveport Police Department’s Homicide Unit were assigned to the case. Through interviews and other investigative means, witnesses were able to identify the two suspects and they were able to procure warrants charging 28-year-old Chamichel Mosely with one count of Aggravated Battery and 23-year-old Meocha Evans with Principle to Aggravated Battery. Bond was set at $5,000 for both.
