Chief Louis Johnson with Shreveport Fire Department tells KEEL News the incident happened at East Ridge Country Club at around 2:30 pm. Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the girl was already being given CPR.
A lifeguard and some adults had jumped in and pulled her from the bottom of the pool.
Emergency workers were able to get her pulse at LSU Health, then she was transported to Willis Knighton South, where she's listed in critical condition.
Sources say the girl was left at a pool party and told to stay in the shallow end, but no one told the lifeguards.
