Shreveport Family Escapes House Fire

A family of nine has escaped an early-morning fire in their Cedar Grove home. Shreveport firefighters were called to fight a house fire in the 100 block of West 80th about five a-m. When they got there, they found smoke coming from the house and fire in a wall between the kitchen and a bedroom. It took about twenty minutes to bring the fire under control. Two adults and seven children were home at the time but they escaped injury when one of the adults awakened and discovered the fire.
