Sen. Milkovich: House Struggling On Taxes 'A Good Thing'

State Senator John Milkovich talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the current legislative special session, attempting to solve the state's budget shortfall.

Milkovich talks about his letter to the Governor which expressed his disagreement with with Democrat Caucus leader Troy Carter, who, in an earlier letter to JBE, called for a "compression" of the state tax structure, which would have increased the tax rate for some Louisianans by 50%.

Bucking his party again, the Senator from Shreveport tells KEEL listeners, "We don't need to be putting more taxes on family owned businesses and wage earners and basically redistributing the wealth from people that work to people that don't work."
