On September 28, 2020, just before 10:00 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 7100 block of Wallace Avenue on reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located two men, 25-year-old Ladarrien Taylor and 23-year-old Denzel Taylor suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Both were transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators with the Homicide and Crime Scene Units were summoned. CSIU collected all evidence and photographed the scene. Detectives began interviewing witnesses and canvassing the neighborhood for video. Through their investigation, they learned that 33-year-old Stanley Goldsby came to the residence and argued with one of the victims. During the argument, Goldsby produced a firearm and shot both victims in the upper body. Stanley fled the scene in a vehicle after the shooting.

Detectives learned that Denzel Taylor had succumbed to injuries following their interviews and were able to procure warrants for Goldsby charging him with one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder. Bond was set at $250,000.00 and $100,000.00. Goldsby’s last known address was in the 700 block of Central Street in Shreveport.

After Detectives procured the warrants, they learned that LaDarrien Taylor also succumbed to his injuries. The Attempted Murder charge will be upgraded.

Crime Stoppers will pay a $2,000.00 minimum reward for information leading to Goldsby’s arrest.
