The only controversy surrounding the 2017 Louisiana Life March North was the number who attended. The fourth annual pro-life trek from Bossier City's Boardwalk to Shreveport's Festival Plaza was, according to media reports "hundreds", a number that was disputed by organizers - and attendees - who said the event drew a crowd well into the thousands.

The 1.2 mile march, the yearly cornerstone event of the pro-life movement of the ArkLaTex, was again sponsored by Louisiana Right to Life, the Northwest Louisiana Baptist Association, Louisiana Family Forum, Louisiana Conference of Catholic Bishops, United Pentecostal Church of Louisiana, Ark-La-Tex Crisis Pregnancy Center and Heart of Hope Ministries.
