We've been hearing that several tourism bureaus across the state would have a special promotions spot at this year's Super Bowl.  Today, we found out our Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau will be among them.

The bureau's Chris Jay says Vice President of Communications Brandy Evans will have a booth set up to promote our region of the state.

"The Louisiana Office of Tourism does foot part of the bill for the Super Bowl," Jay says.  "So we all contribute to that, and we all deserve to be showcased at an event of that stature.  I would think that tens of thousands of fans will be walking past the booth that Brandy will be working in, and her being there will help ensure that they'll be learning about Shreveport-Bossier just like they'll be learning about Terrebonne Parish, or Jefferson Davis Parish, or any other place in the great state of Louisiana."

So, why was she chosen? Jay says she happened to be in the right place at the right time.  Listen to the rest of my interview with Chris Jay HERE:
