When your family sits down to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this Thursday morning, make sure to keep an eye out for Louisiana's special Celebration Gator float!

This is the second year for Louisiana to appear in the famous New York City parade. Last year, the float featured Grammy, BAFTA, Golden Globe, NAACP Image, Critics' Choice, and Academy Award-winning Louisiana recording artist and television personality Jon Baptiste.

This time around, Louisiana's 60-foot Celebration Gator float will feature New Orleans' own Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews & Orleans Avenue. If you're not familiar, Troy is a musician, producer, actor, and philanthropist with a new album out now called Lifted.

Of course, Louisiana knows a thing or two about parades and our Celebration Gator is easily the longest float in the parade and will appear to crawl down the street while wagging its tail and blowing confetti out of its mouth! Louisiana's other float, the Celebration Riverboat, is scheduled for an appearance at the upcoming Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on January 2nd, 2023.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade will air Thursday from 9 AM until 12 PM CST on NBC and stream on Peacock.
