If you're one of the very few people who don't enjoy eating crawfish, you'll still find something delicious to eat and some fabulous entertainment at this weekend's  29th Annual Mudbug Madness festival.

For those who can't handle a good mudbug, there's pizza, Natchitoches meat pies, corn dogs, funnel cakes,  roasted corn, baked potatoes, and ribeye steak sandwiches to name a few alternatives.

However,  for those of us who enjoy crawfish, we can choose from many different ways to eat them.  There's boiled crawfish,  fried crawfish, crawfish tails, crawfish etouffe...sounds like Bubba and his Bubba Gump shrimp from Forest Gump!

Speaking of shrimp, there's shrimp-on-a-stick, alligator-on-a-stick and chicken-on-a-stick.

And that's just the food. You'll enjoy footstompin, tail shakin', two-steppin' musc from a variety of local and area bands:  Cajun Dixie Line,  Lakeside Gamblers,  Wayne Toupes and ZyDeCajun, Cedryl Ballou and the Zydeco Trendsetters,  Joel Martin Project, and Rockin' Dopsey and the Zydeco Twisters to name several.

There are also all kinds of contests like men's and women's and childrens' crawfish eating contests as well as crawfish calling contests!

You'll also enjoy many arts and crafts vendors and there are many fun activities for  the children on the kids' stage.

The event  kicks off tomorrow through Sunday at Festival Plaza in Downtown Shreveport.

It's open from 11 am until 11 pm each day.

Admission is free tomorrow and Friday until 5 pm.  Otherwise, it's only $5 to get in. Children under 12 get in free at any time,  as well as military folks with ID.
