Man Arrested by Shreveport PD for Threatening with a Firearm
On May 14th, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an assault and battery call in the 2100 block of Grimmett Drive. On arrival, the responding officers learned that a male identified as Danthony Crowder (10-18-95) reportedly threatened multiple people with a handgun.
Officers found that Crowder had been at the location earlier and had just returned with a handgun. Crowder was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
It is a constant battle for the Shreveport Police Department as they continue to work diligently to remove illegally owned firearms off of the streets of Shreveport. Shreveport Police spokesman Corporal Chris Bordelon told KEEL News on Monday morning, the department has already removed over 435 firearms off the streets just since January 2023. 435... more feed for the "Gun Muncher."
