Shreveport Man Arrested for Shooting Man in the Head
SHREVEPORT, LA- Convicted Felon arrested for a shooting incident
In the early hours of April 25th, Shreveport Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3900 block of Adrian Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to the head. Remarkably, the victim was conscious and breathing, and medical professionals anticipate a full recovery.
In the course of their investigation, officers apprehended 55-year-old Herman Smith. Smith has been charged with one count of aggravated battery and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. SPD Violent Crimes Detectives are diligently pursuing all leads and are committed to ensuring justice in this matter.
Shreveport Police officials state: Acts of violence will not be tolerated, and we will continue to work tirelessly to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
Chief Wayne Smith would like to express gratitude for the swift response of patrol officers and emergency medical personnel who aided in the victim's rescue and apprehension of the suspect.
Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
