Dr. Shawn Wilson, Secretary of Louisiana's Department of Transportation and Development, spoke with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the $700 million price tag to maintain and improve Louisiana's roads.

Dr. Wilson clarifies his stance on the proposed .23 cents a gallon gas tax increase and where that money would go. He also assured folks in north Louisiana that we'll get our fair share of the state's road repair budget and admits that the DOTD hasn't always hasn't spent dollars wisely, but that's due to rules mandated by state lawmakers.
