Wednesday was a big day for Dr. Brad Jurkovich from First Baptist Bossier. The pastor was invited by one of his congregation, Congressman Mike Johnson, to make the trip to Washington, D.C. for a very special honor: To lead the United States House of Representatives in prayer.

From Congressman Johnson's Facebook page:

It was an honor today to introduce and host my pastor, Dr. Brad Jurkovich, who opened the House of Representatives in prayer. He and Stephanie joined Kelly and me for the Republican Study Committee lunch after the session, and they represented First Bossier and Louisiana well!

Jurkovich became pastor of First Bossier in 2013, taking over for Fred Lowery, who retired after thirty years at the helm.
