I-49 Lane Closures

Be prepared for more road work on Interstate-49 this weekend. From 9 o'clock tonight (Friday) until 6 o'clock Sunday evening, you won't be able to get directly onto I-20 westbound from I-49. You'll have to go a little bit farther north to where I-49 dead-ends at Murphy Street and get on from there. The ramp will be completely closed for bridge joint repairs. During that same time frame, the ramp from I-49 to I-20 east will be reduced to one lane. In addition, from six tomorrow evening until six Monday morning, I-49 southbound will be reduced to one lane of traffic at the Bert Kouns Industrial Loop (LA 526).
