Shreveport Police Arrest One and Searching for Another in Buncombe Road Shooting

Shreveport Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for another following a shooting that left a man injured Yesterday.

SPD Officers were called to Ochsner LSU Health after a man arrived at the emergency room with gunshot wounds to his lower body. Investigators found out the shooting occurred at a home on Buncombe Road.

Officers rushed to the location and recovered evidence connected to the shooting. Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes and Domestic Violence units were notified after investigators learned that a domestic-related incident may have preceded the shooting.

Following interviews and the execution of a search warrant, detectives found that 23 year-old Lia Lebum allegedly aided her brother, 20 year-old Jayden Jefferson, in the shooting.

Lebum was arrested and charged as a principal to aggravated battery.

Jefferson is wanted on a warrant for aggravated battery.
