Saturday's Easter on the Bayou, presented by MetroPCS, was full of fun, festivities, and children.  There must have been hundreds involved in the Easter egg hunts alone, which were held at Black Cypress Bayou Park.

Not to mention the games, like racing with an egg in a spoon, potato sack races and racing the giant beach ball down around the cone and back. There were also free prizes, a bounce house and raffle drawings for bigger prizes.  People were even swimming off the beach.

Children got to have their pictures made with the Easter Bunny. And they enjoyed face-painting and arts and crafts. There were many vendors, where you could buy all kinds of interesting items, like clothes, and jewelry.  The food vendors were also incredible, offering delicious refreshing lemonaide and sandwiches or other snacks.

The event was absolutely free. If you missed it this year, make sure you plan to bring your children and grandchildren next year for the most Easter fun you can have outside of church!
