Easter on the Bayou

What looked to be the start of a dreary day for Easter on the Bayou turned out to be a great day full of fun. There were many colorful, candy-filled eggs scattered throughout the woods for the children to hunt, good food and other fun activities for the families to enjoy.

We're crossing our fingers that Mother Nature doesn't hit Cypress Black Bayou with rain this Saturday (March 23) and make us reschedule Easter on the Bayou, but if she does we have a rain date set.

Easter is fun for children because they get to hunt for those colorful Easter eggs. Since grown-ups like having fun too, we found these 15 funny Easter pictures that will crack you up!

Saturday's Easter on the Bayou, presented by MetroPCS, was full of fun, festivities, and children.  There must have been hundreds involved in the Easter egg hunts alone, which were held at Black Cypress Bayou Park.

We want to thank all our listeners and vendors for helping make 'Easter on the Bayou' a great success, and another one the biggest events of the year.

The last time I remember us doing Easter on the Bayou, I was still new to the radio biz.  I was a part-timer-trying-to-become-a-full-timer, learning about how to promote station events, and helping out wherever and whenever I could.  This was also before I had a little one of my own...
