High Speed Pursuit Leads to Shreveport Arrest of Felon
SHREVEPORT, LA- Armed man leads Shreveport police on chase before he is arrested for possessing narcotics, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
On August 17th, 2023, around 7:55 p.m. officers with the Shreveport Police Community Response Unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Douglas Street and Milam Street in reference to multiple traffic violations.
The vehicle refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit. The vehicle eventually stopped, and the driver Terrence Jones (10-22-86) was taken into custody. Jones was found to be in possession of a large amount of narcotics and a firearm.
Jones was charged with Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Possession with intent distribute schedule one narcotic, Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled dangerous substance, one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and numerous traffic offenses.
