A drive-through vaccination clinic is being set up at the State Fairgrounds in Shreveport.

These shots will only be available for those over aged 70 and you must pre-register or you will not be allowed to get the shot.

Again, the folks at LSU health say "Pre-registration is required and essential to minimizing wait time."

You should also bring your ID and insurance information even though they are pre-registered, wear a mask and wear clothing with easy access to upper arm where vaccine will be administered.

Once you pull up, you stay in your car to get the vaccine and then you will pull up and wait 15 minutes to make sure there are no side effects that need attention.

LSU Health will administer the shots starting Monday at Fairground Field from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Also the David Raines David Raines Community Health Centers will start vaccinating more people over the age of 70 on Thursday. Regional clinic manager Sue Walters tells KTBS "We are trying to help everyone in the community as much as possible as we can, but it is by appointment only."

The shots will be available at the main location, at 1625 David Raines Drive in Shreveport.
