Fibrebond Boss Talks About Deal to Keep Company in Minden
The state has reached a deal with Fibrebond to keep the company in Minden. CEO Graham Walker says they were considering moving to Mount Pleasant, Texas because of problems transporting their products on Louisiana roads.
But state officials will sign a Memorandum of Understanding which will make improvements to the infrastructure including bridges to ease the transportation troubles. Currently, Fibrebond trucks have to go 255 miles out of the way because bridges near the plant are no longer adequate to handle the weight.
Walker talks with KEEL about this new deal and says he is optimistic about the future of the company.
