
Watch Louisiana FedEx Truck Slams into Louisiana House
SHREVEPORT, LA – This was a delivery no one expected. And the driver of this FedEx truck is in big trouble today. Video shows this FedEx trouble running off the roadway and plowing into a home in Houma, Louisiana.
Houma police suspect the driver was under the influence of drugs and alcohol while behind the wheel of the big truck. This wreck happened Monday evening.
This could have been a much greater tragedy. There were people inside the home at the time of the crash. But luckily, no one was hurt.
Sophia Ramirez was inside the home at the time and she called her aunt to say “there’s a FedEx truck in the house.”

31-year-old Michael Smith, the driver of the truck, failed a sobriety test at the scene and was taken into custody.
What Was Found in the FedEx Truck?
Police searched the truck and found an open container of alcohol, an opioid pain medication called tramadol and marijuana.
Smith did not cooperate at the scene and refused to get into the patrol car. He had to be forced into the car.
He now faces a long list of charges including drug possession, reckless operation, DWI and resisting an officer.
