Check Out These Great Easter Events in the Shreveport Area

Before you can blink twice it will be Easter. You have probably already seen all the bunnies and candies on store shelves all around Shreveport and Bossier City. I am always surprised to see those pre-made Easter baskets that are hot properties this time of year. That was not a thing when I was a youngster.

The Easter Bunny always made baskets that were identical for each child. I have five brothers and we all got the same amount of candies and big chocolate bunnies. But now the Easter Bunny makes special baskets for each child.

Easter egg hunts are also a very fun way to celebrate this spring special event. You have several options to take in one of these events for the family.

Everyone likes to go on an Easter Egg hunt. I even have incredible memories of visiting my son at the Marine Corps Base in Hawaii during Easter. I packed a bunch of plastic eggs and bought some candy and loaded up all the eggs and hid them all around the cabin I was renting. My son and some of his fellow Marines had a blast running through the yard hunting for eggs. I did put some cash in some of the special eggs.

That was a day I will never forget. I don't think those men will ever forget that day. It brought these tough Marines back to their childhood days for just a moment.

This was a tradition for my boys growing up. We always had an Easter Egg hunt at home. Sometime we would venture out to a community event. These are some great options in the Shreveport area.
