State Rep. Dodie Horton from Haughton talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the future of the ongoing special legislative session, and the chances that Dems and the GOP members can come to an agreement to solve the state's budget shortfall.

Horton tells KEEL listeners that she doesn't see a way that she can back a proposed quarter penny sales tax, a "revenue enhancement" being pushed by not only Governor John Bel Edwards and Democrats, but some legislative Republicans. Horton, along with fellow GOP Ways and Means committee members Alan Seabaugh and Barry Ivey, voted no to each of the taxes proposed to the committee, including the four that made it to the House floor for debate.

Hear Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty weekday mornings 6 til 9 on 101.7 / 710 KEEL or via the KEEL app, presented by Office Furniture Source.
