Did the Mayor Know What Jerry Bowman was Going to Do?

101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty discuss the announcement that City Councilman Jerry Bowman, acting as the city's Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of Adrian Perkins, was adding Interim Police Chief Ben Raymond to the list of finalists for the position.

The morning duo were joined on KEEL by Councilwoman LeVette Fuller in discussing whether Mayor Perkins was aware of the Bowman move and what his reaction, if any, would be when he returns to Shreveport.

If Bowman's action is allowed to stand, Raymond, who was surprisingly left off the list of selections by the eight person committee appointed by the mayor, he will join finalists SPD Sergeant Michael Carterm Lt. Tedris Smith and Assistant Chief Wayne Smith.

The Mayor, following his interviews with all three, will submit his top candidate to the city council for final approval.
