A series of informational meetings begins this week across northwest Louisiana to introduce current Medicaid and LaChip recipients to the state's new "Bayou Health" program. Basically, Bayou Health is the state's new approach to health care for 865-thousand of Louisiana's 1.2-million Medicaid and LaChip recipients. The state has contracted with five health plans that will form networks of health care providers and care mangers and anybody who's currently on Medicaid or LaChip can pick one of those five providers.  Here's a parish-by-parish schedule of meetings:
