Big Cases in Caddo District Court Following Labor Day Break

Lots of Caddo District Court cases we'll be following for you tomorrow:

In Judge Mike Pitman's courtroom:

Christopher Cope, for arguments and hearings on first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges. He's accused of the October 2010 shooting death of Shreveport Police Sgt. Tim Pruny and of firing shots into a guard shack at Southern Trace. His jury trial is scheduled for October 8th. His attorney had tried to have that trial date pushed back, but the judge denied the request.

In Judge Ramona Emanuel's courtroom:

Matthew Collier, charged with forcible rape and aggravated rape for an incident involving a juvenile. He'll find out who will represent him in court.

Jimmie Lee Foster, Jr., for a preliminary examination on a second-degree murder charge. He's accused of the October 2010 shooting death of Michael Miller in the 3900 block of Flora.

Lori Fowler, scheduled for arraignment and preliminary examination on 41 forgery counts. She's charged with forging an official's signature on her paychecks from July 2008 until August 2009.

Darien Peterson will be getting his attorney and facing a preliminary examination on a forcible rape charge.

Troy Roundtree will be in court tomorrow afternoon for a special hearing. He's charged with aggravated rape for an incident involving a juvenile.
