Was a deal made early on in the Shreveport mayor's race between the Republican party's two leading candidates? That what 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Erin McCarty says she was told at a community event Thursday night.

According to Erin's sources - she says she was told by three different GOP movers and shakers - a meeting, attended by a number of local Republican officials and candidates Jim Taliaferro and Lee O. Savage, ended with an informal "deal" between the two that would have one pulling out and throwing his support behind the other. Those sources told McCarty that, after initial polling in the race, the candidate trailing in the race would withdraw and publicly endorse the leader.

But are those stories true? And what do other area party bosses have to say about the supposed meeting? And how about the candidates, themselves? That's what 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty discuss in the morning show segment.
