Mayoral candidate Jim Taliaferro, who finished third in Tuesday's Shreveport election for the city's highest office, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the campaign, election day and his plans for the future.

Taliaferro, who finished Tuesday night's general election with 21%, tells KEEL listeners that all Shreveport citizens "all want the same thing." The retired Shreveport police officer says, "They want safety for their families, they want to be able to find a good job, they want the best for their kids, they just wan a good quality of life, which is not that much to ask."

And as far as endorsing one of the two top finishers, incumbent Ollie Tyler or newcomer Adrian Perkins, Taliaferro says he is waiting.  "I want to know what they're going to do to catapult our city forward," he says, "I really want to know what they're going to do to develop good customer service. I really want them to tell me that they have a better plan."
