Alan Seabaugh Calls JBE a Liar…Lots of Times [VIDEO]
State Representative Alan Seabaugh talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the upcoming special legislative session that begins Monday in Baton Rouge.
The session, which was called by Governor John Bel Edwards in hopes of solving what he terms the state's "impending fiscal crisis", is, according to Seabaugh, "just another attempt (by the Governor) to get his hands deeper into the pockets of the taxpayers of Louisiana." The state rep adds that, "we need to have a serious discussion about the state's spending problem."
Seabaugh also tells KEEL listeners that while the Governor and Democrats talk compromise, what compromise means is "giving the Governor everything he wants," which means more spending and higher taxes for Louisianans. Seabaugh also fears that because "the Governor controls (the Senate) lock stock and barrel." He also says that John Bel has said that, in his opinion the "independent House isn't working out very well," Seabaugh thinks that because of its resistance to John Bels agenda, "its working out very well."
