Shreveport Mayor-Elect Adrian Perkins talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his election victory, transition plans and goals for the first days of his administration.

Perkins tells KEEL listeners about the final days of the campaign, working in the rain and cold, "I told them that morning (of the final day) that I'm not going to put you out there if I'm not out there."

The West Point grad emphasizes his priorities from the campaign, including a search for a new police chief, bringing order the the city's water billing system and bringing Shreveport's technology up to date.

Perkins also says that despite the short (three weeks) amount of time until his inauguration, his team is already working on major appointments, including Chief Administrative Officer and City Attorney.
