61-Year-Old Man Injured in Hardy Street Fire Dies

An elderly man pulled from his burning home last night has died.

Shreveport firefighters say 61-year-old Doyle T. Jackson died this morning from injuries he suffered during the Sunday evening house fire in the 2900 block of Hardy Street. The Caddo Parish Coroner's Office will determine the exact cause of death.

A Shreveport firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze. He's said to be doing well. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

This is Shreveport's third fire fatality of 2015.
