Shelby Patrick Continues to Recover After Near-Drowning

The 9-year-old Shreveport girl who nearly drowned at a swim party at East Ridge Country Club is settling in at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. In her latest Care Pages update, Shelby Patrick's family members say she's scheduled to have a pediatric team, rehabilitation team and social worker -- who will all pay Shelby a visit by tomorrow. They say those who have met Shelby are amazed by her progress. Today, she put on her own socks and shoes, and even tied her shoelaces. She's also written her entire name on a dry erase board. Don't forget, there's a "Shop for Shelby" Fashion Show starting at 11 tomorrow morning to help with medical expenses. It's being held at 2019 Shadywood Lane.
