Another Near Tragedy at an Area Pool
July 19, 2012 7:58 AM More tragic news around a pool. This latest near drowning happened in Desoto Parish.
A 9-year-old boy nearly drowned at a pool in Mansfield. The little boy was on an outing with several members of the First Baptist Church Community of Mansfield. The child was found at the bottom of the pool by some adults who were also at the gathering. CPR was quickly performed and the youngster started breathing on his own. He was taken to the hospital for observation. He is expected to make a full recovery.
