Fundraiser Held For Shreveport Near-Drowning Victim Shelby Patrick

More than $6,000 was raised over the weekend at a fundraiser for Shelby Patrick, the 9-year-old girl who nearly drowned at a country club pool last month.

Patrick is currently being treated at a rehab hospital in Dallas.

Three-year-old Aubrie Smith is still fighting for her life. She and her twin sister were found in a pool at a Bossier City home.  Her twin, Angel, died.

Smith remains in critical condition at Willis-Knighton South. Drowning is the number one cause of death for children between the ages of 1 and 4.
