Who Are the Most Powerful Men in Shreveport Bossier?

We had a healthy discussion about who should be the final guy on this list and eventually came to a consensus that Miciotto should be on the list. He is probably the busiest attorney in Shreveport Bossier and is considered one of the top divorce lawyers in the area. Miciotto is also very active in the legal community often actively involved in campaigns for candidates for judicial seats in the region.

The Mayor of Bossier City quietly goes about his duties of running the fastest growing city in Louisiana. He recently won his 4th term in office without drawing any opposition. Walker served for thirty years in the Air Force, including two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. At 83, Walker is still just as active as when he first took over the reigns of city hall.

Shreveport's Chief Administrative Officer has his hand involved in most of the major decisions made at city hall. Crawford served for years in the Shreveport Fire Department, rising to the top post of Chief. But he left Shreveport to take over the Plano, Texas Fire Department. He was lured back home when Mayor Ollie Tyler recruited him to be the city's CAO.

Shreveport's former Mayor is now back in the State Legislature. He stays active in community events and is known for continuing to advocate for causes that are on his priority list. Glover was a two term Mayor and was the first African-American elected to the top post in the city.

Kallenberg is one of the most creative minds in our region and he puts his money where his mouth is. He is executive director of the Louisiana Film Prize which has grown to become one of the most successful events in our community. The $50,000 dollar prize is the largest cash prize given away for a short film competition and attracts filmmakers from around the world.
