For a sitting politician whose reelection is a virtual certainty, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell certainly seems to find herself in one verbal altercation after another with the citizens of her city.

On Wednesday evening the Crescent City's First Citizen found herself in another face-to-face with a bar patron at New Orleans' famed Windsor Court Hotel and that video, like so many others "starring" the short-fused mayor, has gone viral.

"When you call my name, you speak to me. You understand? It's me. So LaToya is me. What do you have to say to me?" Cantrell can be heard saying, in a loud voice, "You called my name."

The Mayor then told the bar customer there wasn't enough time to order a mandatory evacuation and a heated exchange over Cantrell's competence began. It was then that members of the Mayor's security squad stepped in.

According to NOLA.com, "Cantrell did not issue a mandatory evacuation for areas of the city within the levees before Ida. Instead, two days before the expected landfall of the fast-moving, Category 4 storm, she told residents that there was a voluntary evacuation, they should leave if they could and that if they weren't able to leave they should get prepared and hunker down."

According to a number of sources, hotel employees said that both Cantrell and the man had been at the bar for some time. NOLA.com also reported that, in commenting on the situation, "Cantrell said she was "very disrespected, It was a man who disrespected me and I spoke up for myself as I was raised to do.'"
