‘Gun Talk’ Host Tom Gresham Calls New Gun Bill “Idiotic”

Tom Gresham, host of the radio show "Gun Talk," fired away at a bill that would make it a crime to expose children to guns in certain situations.

H.B. 1189, introduced by Shreveport Rep. Barbara Norton, seeks to make it a crime to expose children under the age of 10 to a firearm that is not “secured in a locked container or equipped with a tamper-resistant trigger lock, cable lock, mechanical lock, or other safety device that is properly engaged so as to render the firearm inoperable.”

Certain exceptions are accounted for in the bill, specifically for those with valid hunting licenses.

"[This is] an idiotic bill by Shreveport Representative Barbara Norton," said Gresham. The show host urged listeners to contact their State Representative and voice their opinion.
