A possible problem with bad gas in Shreveport. All of the pumps at the Circle K at Youree Drive and Southfield in southeast Shreveport have been shut down after complaints about a problem with the fuel.

At least 3 motorists have complained about having trouble starting their cars after gassing up at this location. A clerk at the store says they suspect water somehow seeped into one of the large underground tanks

A contractor has been called in to take samples and evaluate the fuel. But that report is not complete yet. Experts say water in gasoline can cause problems with the cylinders, but it can also damage your fuel injectors. If the water sits in the tank over time, it can cause rust to your fuel system. The gas tanks of the cars involved will likely have to be flushed to make sure there is no more water.

With the average price of gas in Shreveport right at the $4.00 a gallon mark, folks are not happy about finding out they might have gotten tainted gas.

No word yet from Circle K management about what is being done to satisfy the drivers who believe they got bad gas.
