Best Beach Destinations for Shreveport Families This Spring Break

As we move into Lent, it's no surprise that Spring Break is right around the corner.

We are less than a month away from Spring break vacations for students in Shreveport and Bossier. This has a lot of folks dreaming about a nice getaway.

When Is Spring Break in Shreveport - Bossier?

If you want to make a plan for spring break, you better hop to it. Caddo and Bossier schools are off this year from Monday, March 9, through Friday, March 13. Students return to the classroom on March 16.

My go to spot for spring break with my boys was always the beach. It is just so relaxing to enjoy a week in a beautiful getaway where you have lots of sand and sun.

Caddo Parish

Easter Break April 3 and 6

May 21 is last day for students

Bossier Parish

Easter Break April 3 and 6

May 19 is last day for students

Webster Parish

April 3-10 is Spring Break and Easter Break

May 19 is last day for students

DeSoto Parish

Spring Break March 31-April 3 (note: students attend virtually on Monday March 30)

May 22 is last day for students

Most folks will tell you the calendar for our schools these days is built around spring testing. This is the primary reason school now starts in the first part of August. But we also have a fall break and a "winter break." for some school systems.

Later this spring, you will be able to hop on a flight directly from Shreveport to Orlando, if theme parks is on your great vacation list.

It's worth noting, a couple of area school systems have combined Spring Break and Easter Break into the same week, but that is not the case in Caddo or Bossier.
