During a Thursday morning visit with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and ErinMcCarty, Shreveport Police Chief Alan Crump talks about the most effective ways to reduce crime and violence in our community.

One of those, Crump tells KEEL listeners, "is just a matter of people deciding to come together" and neighbors being neighbors again. The Chief recalls a time when children knew respected adults in their neighborhood and those adults felt the responsibility to look out for everyone else's kids when their parents weren't around.
