Shreveport Shooting Injures 4, Police Arrest Suspect

On May 14th, 2023, at 1:07 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a shooting call in the 9000 block of Mansfield Road.

Arriving officers discovered a crime scene in which multiple people were injured by gunfire. Officers eventually located four people suffering from gunshot wounds at different hospitals throughout the city.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation into the incident. Detectives were able to determine that the shooting stemmed from a dispute and found that Eddrick Pouncy (2-2-01) was the reported gunman. Warrants for his arrest were then obtained by detectives. On June 8th, 2023, Pouncy was taken into custody by the Shreveport Police Warrants Unit. Pouncy is charged with four counts of Aggravated Battery.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
