Shreveport Police Arrest Three in Connection to Slain Officer
Earlier tonight, KEEL News received reports from sources inside the Shreveport Police Department that an arrest had been made in the case of fallen Shreveport Police Officer Chateri Payne. Now the Shreveport Police Department has confirmed that three arrests were made in connection to Officer Payne's shooting.
A release from the Shreveport Police Department reads:
"Since the launch of the investigation, law enforcement officials from across the region have worked tirelessly in search of information and evidence connected to the tragic loss. Those efforts came to fruition Tuesday evening with the arrests of three men now charged with murder. Trevon Anderson, 26 of the 1600 block of Midway Avenue, Lawrence Pierre, 22, of the 4100 block of Honda Drive, and 38 year old Glenn Frierson of the 2900 block of Holly Street, each face charges of Second Degree Murder."
Shreveport Police Chief Ben Raymond will hold a press conference tomorrow morning at 10am to bring the public up to speed on this ongoing investigation.
