Shreveport Officer On Broward Cops Inaction

A Shreveport police officer texted 101.7/ 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty, commenting on the story that as many as four Broward County Sheriff's deputies were outside Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High during the recent Florida school massacre.

With more and more stories confirming that the sheriff's deputies failed to enter the school during the killing spree, the Florida Attorney General's office saying that the Broward sheriff "isn't telling the whole story," and growing rumors of a possible stand-down order, the veteran Shreveport cop, who wished to remain anonymous, opines on the possibilities.

"Any officer worth his salt wouldn't care if someone told him not to go," reads one text." But he also disputes the stories of a stand-down order by Broward higher-ups. "More than likely all those officers were scared to death and were talked into not going inside by one or more (of the others). Any cop that is worth a damn would disobey a direct order if they knew kids were dying inside."
