Shreveport Man Charged with Illegal Carry & Drug Charges
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Narcotics and Firearms
The Shreveport Police Department has made another significant arrest as part of its ongoing efforts to keep firearms and dangerous narcotics off the streets.
On August 31st, Shreveport Police Vice agents conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of North Market. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Michael Smithpeter, was found to have a firearm, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. All items were immediately seized by the officers on the scene.
As a result of this operation, Smithpeter has been charged with Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession of Schedule II Narcotics, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Under the leadership of Chief Wayne Smith, the Shreveport Police Department remains steadfast in its commitment to removing firearms from the hands of those prohibited from possessing them and ensuring the safety of our community.
